MARCUS SHELTON Originally from the Pacific Northwest, American tenor Marcus Shelton is a newcomer to Michigan. His powerful vocal and piano performances draw upon an eclectic combination of influences and experience for an exceptionally unique performance experience. Artists covered in his set will include Puccini, Led Zeppelin, Chris Cornell, Nirvana, Weezer, Andrea Bocelli, and more.

Marcus has received praise from around the world for his “high notes to blow the roof off” and his “unconventionally charming demeanor” His career has included a variety of lead and supporting work with opera and symphony companies around the world including Seattle Opera, Portland Opera, Greek National Opera, Opera Oviedo, Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, New Orleans Opera, Opera Theatre de Rimouski, Opera Idaho, Pacific Norwest Opera, among others. Marcus has also had a number of one of a kind cross-over opportunities. One of the most notable was when he was accompanied onstage by multiple Grammy award-winner David Foster, while performing at the Seattle Museum of Flight’s 50th Anniversary Gala; receiving standing ovations for both of his selections.

OPENING SET BY NOAH BIZER  After returning from British Columbia with his undergraduate degree, Noah released his first full-length album of original songs and then left for Spain. He is returning from a year of travelling in Europe and Central America and is happy to be performing back in his hometown area. He comes to Zou Zou’s to play songs from his album as well as new material inspired by his travels .  Come enjoy this 23 year old singer songwriter’s exceptional vocal quality, solid guitar playing, and insightful lyrics.
