Get ready for this show friends—legendary rockers Michael Katon and Todd Perkins return to the Zou for another acoustic show!! Their last one was SRO!  Katon is perhaps best known for his decades of touring his distinctive style of Blues Rock in Europe, but his duo with longtime bassist Perkins showcases his talent as a brilliant acoustic guitarist with a deep understanding of the Delta Blues, Rockabilly and Americana.

Valerie Potter of Metal Hammer said ” Michael Katon plays some of the loudest, toughest, meanest rock & blues on the planet!”. Living Blues also said of Katon: “Katon is a virtuoso guitar player with his roots in the right place…[his] sound is a blazing blend of electric blues and roadhouse boogie”. For over 30 years he has toured through Europe, stunning and delighting audiences in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Sweden, Norway, Slovenia and beyond. In June 2014, he was voted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Todd Perkins has been recording and performing music for over 40 years in a wide range of styles from Swing, Blues and Rockabilly to Hard Rock to New Age. Working on electric and upright bass, electric and acoustic guitar, and vocals, Todd has played with bands like Swing revivalists The Blue Front Persuaders (1980-1986), Jump Blues national road veterans Big Dave & The Ultrasonics (1991-1996). He toured internationally with tonight’s musical partner, Michael Katon (1996-2018), and continues to perform with Gypsy Jazz virtuoso Joe Summers, Rockabilly sensations, Cindi Lou & The Red Hot Royals, and his own ongoing projects, The Beowulf Kingsley Band and The Sideshow Saints. Tonight will be another show to remember!
