Our weekly Wednesday Open Mic features a roster of some of the areas finest songwriters–including Annie Capps, Sam Corbin, Rollie Tussing, Rochelle Clark, Dave Boutette, and Judy Banker–sitting in as guest host, playing a few songs and serving as emcee for participants from the community. PA provided. All ages and skill levels are warmly welcome. Come play a few tunes or just come to listen and enjoy the party!

Every Thursday night, 8-10pm the Zou is proud to present one of our roster of three residency artists for this series, including award-winning vintage jazz & country blues guitarist  Rollie Tussing w/ tuba player Michael Grant and Friends, Pete Bullard &The Zou Animals (Blues, swing, and rockabilly ensemble led by veteran local guitarist Bullard) and The Blue Rays Trio ft. Ralph McKee, Tim Douthit & Peter Holland. Come enjoy our fine selection of craft beer and French wines, great food and great music!

Dale Osborn: Slinging Songs & a 12 String

A resident of Chelsea, Dale Osborn is an accomplished fingerstyle acoustic guitarist–on both 6 and 12-string guitar. Crooning with a resonant baritone, he performs a combination of original songs, covers and instrumental pieces–from pop to folk to classical. He has performed at several area venues, including the Crazy Wisdom Tearoom, Arbor Brewing Company, Sandhill Crane Winery, the Gypsy Cafe, and Johnny’s Speakeasy.  His CD, “On the Edge of Our Town,” can be heard on Spotify and iTunes, and can be purchased on Amazon and iTunes.

Adam Labeaux and Sara Gibson are two thirds of the hi-tech acoustic band, the Cloudbuilders.

Adam Labeaux (guitar, vocals, harmonica)
A nationally touring singer/songwriter from Ann Arbor, MI, Adam performers 200+ dates per year. Adam was a co-founder of the Ragbirds, and Anna Lee’s Company. He has recorded five independent albums, and has appeared as a guest on countless others. Adam also hosts the annual Broken Branch Breakdown music festival, as well as a variety of music-based charitable fundraisers.

Sara Gibson (cello)

Bowling Green University graduate, Sara Gibson was classically trained, and active in the Toledo area music scene before relocating to Ann Arbor to take a position as the Slauson Middle school Orchestra Director. Since, she been an active session musician with recent credits on recordings by Mike GentryDave Solo, and Gary Browe. Sara is also a staple performer with area pit orchestras, including the Croswell Opera House.
